Played at the prestigious Fancourt Links, the #1 ranked golf course in South Africa, the Absa Superskills changed to an exciting new format in 2022.
-
A full 18 holes of betterball greensomes based on stableford scoring. In greensomes, both players tee off and the betterball team selects the best tee shot and from that point on each player plays their own ball.
-
Three bonus points are added to the winning team of each of the following Superskills disciplines:
-
Closest to the pin putting competition prior to tee off
-
Closest to the pin approach shot on the 17th green
-
Longest drive on the 18th
-
The team with the most points after adding the bonus points to their Stableford points for the 18 holes are determined as the champions of the Absa Superskills.
Stableford points are as follows:
Albatross – 5 points, Eagle – 4 points, Birdie – 3 points, Par – 2 points, Bogey - 1 point, double bogey or higher – 0 points
